Algarve

It was windy, cold, than hot, the water is freezing cold, but the scenery is amazing...

How we got to Algarve? That was an adventure really... We booked a car through our hotel reception at Europcar... till here everything was ok... than they said they can't bring the car (a Smart for two) to our hotel so we had to take a taxi and all our luggage to their office. But when we arrived there, we had to wait for 30 minutes to be told that we can't rent a car with Visa?!? Ok, it was our fault, but they could have told us that before? right? So, we were there in the middle of some street that we saw for the first time, we had no clue where to go or which way to turn, we looked for the nearest metro and guess what?! It was closed!  We walked some more and found one open.. Can you imagine us with bags, wandering around Lisbon with no clue where to go? Haha. Once arrived at the metro we decided to go back to the station where our hotel was because there was the main train station. We wanted to take the train to Faro and then find some other transport to Praia da Luz where our hotel was, but we found out that we had to wait for 2,5 hours for the train. We overheard a couple that was searching for the buses and we immediately decided to find out if there was one going to Lagos and there was... in half an hour... we were saved :)

And the best part, at our hotel in Praia da Luz we rented a car at a local car rental without any problems!! Thank you Europcar for not accepting our card because than we had 100€ more in our pocket and a bigger car!

And now I'll let you enjoy the beautiful Algarve...

  8. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find
this topic to be actually something that I think I would never understand.

It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
